2) The institution behind the programme – this is usually the TV channel it is broadcast on. Find out:

The most common rental scams involve a rogue landlord renting out a property that isn’t theirs to rent. Some conmen may do this by breaking into an empty property and then holding viewings for multiple prospective tenants. They will take deposits from as many as possible and then disappear without trace.
Another variation of this targets people who are moving to the UK and won’t be able to view their rental property before moving in. Adverts will be placed online and again deposits will be taken via online banking or wire transfer. Victims of this scam will then arrive in the UK and suddenly find they have nowhere to live.
The simplest way to avoid these kinds of scams is to do some background research on the landlord or agent renting the property. Make sure you have their full address and contact details. If they’re from a company see if you can find some positive feedback about them online. Many estate agents are part of the Safe Agent Scheme which is designed to give tenants some peace of mind.
3) The target audience
I think BBC One at 10 is targeted mainly at adults and specific teens because it’s about what’s happening in the world such as war and political issues so it isn’t suitable for small children. 37% teens and 63% adults’ females and males 50% - 50%
4) The running order for three separate editions of the programme. Watch at least 20 minutes of the programme on THREE separate days and write down the following:
24/08/2014

The news story I chose was about a journalist that was brutally murdered for having a brother in the US military. I think that they started with the national stories first and then moved onto the stories around the world because people are usually more concerned about what’s happening in their own area/ country.
25/08/2014

The news story for the date stated above was about the meeting with the Scottish government about Scotland becoming a independent country and the debate went smoothly, Alex handled the questions really well however not everyone in Scotland agrees that Scotland should be an independent country because of the money and the resources.

Today the first story was about how 100's of children were sexually abused in Rotherham and only the council leader had resigned. A victim said that the police and council haven't done anything to help she said that they let the guy go without charge. One child has been brutally murdered after being abused.

The second story is about how in Syria the boys over 14 are preparing to go to fight in war. The war seems to have changed into several different conflicts. The war began due to short and long term causes.

  1. WWW: BBC News is an important institution but other than that there is not much here to credit.
EBI: This is a long way short of the standard required. The formatting is poor, the information confused (why do you have three random paragraphs about rental scams? That doesn't relate to any aspect of the task). I've also read some of this information on another blog, so you may not even have researched this yourself. The final task, which was the most important and time consuming, is not completed correctly. If you want to get an A in this subject, you need to seriously raise your game because this is desperately poor.
LR: Do you regularly watch the programme you researched? Why/why not? Where do you get your news from? Answer in a comment below.
